The Merino lab belongs to the Applied Physics Department at Centro de Investigación y de Estudios Avanzados Unidad Mérida. Lead by Dr. Gabriel Merino, our research exploits modern computational tools toward the understanding and prediction of new organic or inorganic molecules. Some of our interests include planar hypercoordinate carbon molecules, systems containing multiple bonds, endohedral complexes, dimetallocenes, complex materials, and molecules under pressure. Understanding the structure, bonding, and electron delocalization of such systems is our primary goal. If you would like more information, you can contact us here.
We are always looking for enthusiastic researchers to join our lab. If you are interested in graduate or postdoctoral studies in experimental and theoretical chemists, please contact us.
